But he’s six feet underground
Said a rough-talking man and his brigand band
Did him in not a month ago

Steady hands hold sharpened blades

But I know his time is running out

In a house by a pond just south of Milan
Is where I found my man
I figure him the type to like company at night

He never did suspect
Till I left him for dead bleeding out on the bed
Two daggers in his neck

Of hoofbeats on the street
It was six and ten of the brigand’s men

I dove for the ground as they rode me down
I thought the end was nigh
Then I saw such a sight, it was a burning light
